Infant Massage Notes to know

Infant massage is important for you and your new bundle of joy. Each massage session will last roughly 30 minutes. This is depending on your baby and if they want a massage that day. You as the parent will be learning different techniques of massage that will help you bond with your child.

What to bring and understand for  massage session

  1. First session is an introduction to massage. 
  2. Baby is the boss of the session. We will not force a baby into liking or tolerating a massage. 
  3. Parents will be present during massage session.
  4. Bring a diaper bag, extra diapers, clothes.
  5. Bring a bottle if hungry.

 

Pediatric Massage Notes to know

Pediatric Massage if fairly new to the United States within the last 8 years. With Pediatric massage it helps your child relax, communicate better with you, teachers and others. It teaches you different signs to watch for when your child is stressed or even anxious.

What to bring and understand for your child's session

  1. Your child is boss of the session. We will not force a child into liking or tolerating a massage. 
  2. Parents will be present during massage session.
  3. Children will be fully clothed during session. Suggested to wear loose clothing during session.
  4. Bring a favorite stuffed animal or toy to demonstrate on first, so child feels comfortable. 
  5. Terminology such as "touch and rub" may be used during session. 
  6. Bring juice or water or small snack is okay for child to drink after massage session.
